www.women2003 is a billboardproject where female artists from all of Scandinavia show their image of the woman in the public space. The photo-billboards are on display on 100 billboards in Copenhagen and Malmø until April 4th. But all the billboards can also be seen on the project's website. Definitely worth a look!

Yesterday I borrowed a Nikon D100 (very nice) and went out shooting some location photos for a project I am working on. The project, which is about the neighbourhood where I grew up, is nowhere near finished and it most likely will not be for another two months. So I don't want to show any of the photos that are going to appear in the neighbourhood series yet.
But I have some interesting byproducts to show you: 13 new images online in the Things exhibition. Most of it is an exploration of texture and colour. Enjoy!

I don't think it will surprise him when I say that I much prefer images that are outstanding both technically and otherwise. I can understand the fascination of a dogma (as in the movie concept) photography of sorts. Where the "inner life" of photography (subject, composition, story, framing) comes out. By using a Lomo camera that deliberately makes technically bad photos you are able to focus on these issues exclusively.
On the Internet there is a proliferation of digital snapshots that are technically (here: in focus, well exposed) very good. But many of the snapshot photographers lack the basic ability to get to that "inner life" of the subject they are shooting. This is in effect Lomography inversed - tecnically "perfect" but artistically impotent.
